FMVSS 208 requires all model year 1999 and newer vehicles sold in the United States to have driver and passenger side airbags. Some airbags start to
deflate shortly (milliseconds) after deployment through vent holes while newer side curtain airbags can remain inflated for many seconds after deployment.
Cummings Scientific, LLC has analyzed airbags in the following types of accidents:
Passenger Vehicle Accidents
Motorcycle Accidents
Pedestrain Accidents
Bicycle Accidents
Heavy Vehicle Accidents
Rear Impacts
Seat Belt Failures
Vehicular Homicide

Cummings Scientific can also provide airbag animations for use at trial (or on TV).
